The challenging 2030 targets for renewable energy production mean that the potential for installing power plants needs to be thoroughly investigated.
This seminar will show how GIS (Lidar and Orthophotos) has been used to map the solar potential of Trentino and the most suitable sites for photovoltaic plants. Finally, existing plants, environmental/landscape constraints and urban objectives were considered to assess the total production estimate as realistically as possible.
